Earlier this year both the U.S President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance visited Scotland (around July) though there now appears to be disagreements over who foots the bill. According to reports, security and other costs for both trips topped $35 and now Scottish officials want it paid back.

A feud has erupted between Scottish and British officials over the huge price tag(s) that Vance and Trump racked up while in the scenic country earlier this year. According to reports, the pair racked up a $35m bill including security costs and other. The problem according to The Independent is that British officials are refusing to help cover the bill and instead leaving Scotland on the hook for it all which has rightfully infuriated officials in the area. Trump ‘s bill amounted to $27m while Vance ‘s tab amounted to roughly $8m.

Per the Independent, officials in Scotland are citing the previous precedent set by Britain when they forked over the costs for Trump’s time in the area during his first administration a few years ago.
