During the upcoming SOTU, President Biden is expected to announce that the U.S military is to assist in the establishment and management of an aid port along the coast.
The Lowdown
According to reports, the U.S military will soon be helping establish a maritime port along the Gaza coast. The port will serve as further efforts for the international community to get aid into the area. It is not clear in what capacity the port would be built.
The new attempts to help Gaza are the result of growing international cooperation to go around Israel. Israel has been a thorn in efforts to get aid into the area following reports that the IDF attacked civilians at the last aid site.
