Carroll is seeking new damages after Trump repeated the same claims he was already sued for in a post-lawsuit town hall on CNN.
Following CNN ‘s widely panned town hall with Donald Trump, E. Jean Carroll is once again coming after the disgraced former President for his lies about her. In a filing in federal court on Monday, Carroll ‘s lawyer made the case for the amendment following Trump ‘s trainwreck town hall with Kaitilin Collins.
‘Trump’s defamatory statements post-verdict show the depth of his malice toward Carroll since it is hard to imagine defamatory conduct that could possibly be more motivated by hatred, ill will or spite,’ her lawyers wrote. ‘This conduct supports a very substantial punitive damages award.
