Amid lawsuits; questions, and overall discussions about the legality of Ron DeSantis’s bizarre migrant flight move more problems are coming. According to the U.S Treasury Department, federal watchdogs are closing in on DeSantis to determine whether or not he correctly and legally authorized the use of spare funds from the American Rescue Plan. Watchdogs have sounded the alarm that such likely wasn’t the case and an investigation has been formally launched as of Friday.

A copy of a letter sent to Senators in Massachusetts has found its way online. The letter revealed that audits are underway and it is expected that officials will likely speak to both local officials and migrants in the process. Migrants are understood to have been lied to and misled about where they were going and the help they’d receive once they arrived. DeSantis also allegedly had a military official ‘lure’ Venezuelan migrants to go on the trip in the first place.
