A new first in the ongoing outbreak of the monkeypox virus. According to officials in Paris, a gay couple has found that their dog has contracted the virus from them after sharing a bed with the pooch as they normally had already done. It is being noted by multiple reports that the couple had a non-monogamous relationship and had recently had sex with multiple partners.
This story was first reported by the Lancet Medical Journal and is the first known confirmed case of human to animal transmission. We’d like to remind folks that should you contract this virus it is not wise to share a bed with anyone or anything and to quarantine away from others in your home.
