In such a way that it actually ironically involves you walking into your local McDonald’s. In what is being called the most moronic idea ever, Burger King, has launched an app-based initiative to get people to buy their food.

So, here’s how it works. Beginning this week, walk into any McDonald’s with the Burger King app on — and it’ll redirect you to your nearest BK. If you’re wondering how the app or your phone at that point will know you’re in a McDonald’s, it is, because Burger King is watching you… (using something called a geo-fence).
Burger King is then offering people one of their famously bathroom-inducing burgers for about a buck (no pun intended). B.K hopes to bring people into their restaurants, and, eventually encourage people to use their app more.
B.K meanwhile has been quite the troll. Just last month, uh, they notoriously trolled Kanye West on the internet (and it was pretty funny).
