PAKISTAN —  Social media outlets have begun to confirm rumors that their services have been blocked in Pakistan entirely. Facebook; Twitter, Youtube, and more have all been restricted by the government amid a crackdown on protests over disruption in the country and across the Middle East as a whole.
Locals say that most media outlets, and, major social networks are not available for use as of this writing. Government officials have grown concerned that people are beginning to exercise their right to protest, something, that people throughout the Middle East have often been unable to do.
The protests reportedly began over the past 48-hours and have seen hundreds injured.  Locals confirmed to The Daily News that at least 150 have been arrested, and,  the government has declared military intervention to stop the protests entirely.
