In scenes that have played out in various countries, the UK is no stranger to its own migrant crisis.  According to reports,  protests around Britain popped up this weekend as the government struggles to house those legitimately seeking asylum.

The Lowdown

Amid government struggles to respond to a recent court ruling, protests have popped up across the United Kingdom.  According to reports, the protests from both sides of the political aisle are in response to the country’s migrant crisis and how the government has responded. The latest round of protests followed weeks of protests that were outside of the Bell Hotel in Epping.   In that situation a migrant resident at the Hotel allegedly tried to forcibly kiss a 14-year-old girl sparking the protests. He has denied the charge and is set to stand trial  next month.

The governments problem, however, stems from its inability to keep up with back cases thereby limiting the number of legitimate asylum seekers that can enter the country.    By Sunday, protests (peaceful ones) also appeared outside of hotels  meant to house migrants in Birmingham and London ‘s Canary Wharf.  Many of the protests were started after the government began housing migrants at public expense.
