Following the airliner’s deadly crash earlier this month more trouble brews for Air India. According to reports, the airliner has failed to adhere to safety standards and is quite overdue for checks on emergency equipment.

According to Reuters, government documents obbtained by the outlet have revealed a series of troubles for Air India chiefly among them the fact that the airline is overdue for safety checks on emergency equipment. The warnings and overdue notices notes Reuters were not connected to the crash that killed all but one sole survivor.
So here’s what happened. Back in May, three Air India Airbus planes were operated despite warnings that mandatory inspectors were overdue on critical emergency equipment. That equipment was the escape slides on said planes. The shocking oversights by the airliner have contributed to concerns about flying on its planes.
