The disappearance of University of Pittsburgh student Sudiksha Konanki continues to dominate international headlines. According to the Sun, investigators have pieced together new details in the final hours leading up to her disappearance in the Dominican Republic.       The Sun reports that a pair of Venmo transactions made on the afternoon of 5 March have caught the attention of investigators.
In the first payment, funds were sent to an unspecified user at 2:54pm. With the second payment at 3:38pm, a note reading ‘Coco Bongo’ (that appears to be a reference to Punta Cana ‘s nightclub.)
The last time anyone saw this young woman she was strolling on the beach at the RIU Hotel & Resort in Punta Cana at 5:50 am. At the time, she was seen strolling with Iowa tourist Joshua Riibe, 24.
Konanki has been missing since 6 March ‘officially’ following a missing persons report being filed by her friends in the area.
