Accused Luigi Mangione is ready to make his case in New York City on murder charges in the death of Brian Thompson. According to reports, he has secured the representation from a former top Manhattan prosecutor.

CNN reports that Mangione has hired Karen Friendman-Agnifilo a former top Manhattan prosecutor who at one point in their career led the sex crimes unit at the District Attorneys office. CNN notes that the move comes as prosecutors are seeking to have him extradited from Pennsylvania to New York City as soon as Tuesday.
