In the United States costs of just about everything are seesawing depending on the week with food still particularly high at the grocery store. As a result, Mcdonald’s is looking to bring in a $5 value meal to help offset the rising costs of fast-food.

According to Bloomberg News. the deal likely will include a McChicken or McDouble, four-piece chicken nuggets, fries and a drink. The value meal was a part of the chain’s reaction to what they refer to as lower-income families not spending as much in their restaurants anymore. Mcdonald’s and other fast-food chains have been losing customers as consumers across the board pull back their spending in the United States.
