Trump: I don’t have the full fine required to appeal NY judgement

In the race to defeat the clock against the massive NY judgement against him — indicted former President Donald Trump has asked the court of a big ask in a case that threatens to further unravel.

The Lowdown

According to a new court filing by Trump’s lawyers, lawyers for Donald claim that he has $100m to put towards the judgement in an effort to halt the process against him by an appeal that could take up to a year or more.

The New York Times reports that Trump acknowledged in the filing that without the relief — he would in fact have to sell some of his properties to be able to cover his mounting legal bills.

He total he owes New York $454m.
