Frozen fruit fanatics aren’t going to like this news. According to officials, a fruit recall has taken place across several states. The contamination is believed to potentially cause listeria and appears to come from a pineapple that was provided to growers by a third party.
According to information published over the weekend, the affected fruit appears to come from a company called Sunrise Growers Inc. The company in a joint statement with the FDA confirmed that they suspect the contamination of the fruit came from a pineapple. As a result, the company is recalling products across several states.
