A Family Feud contestant who had appeared on the show is preparing to stand trial in the twisted murder of his wife.
Timothy W. Bliefnick is accused of killing Rebecca Bliefnick in her Quincy, Ill., home earlier this year. According to court documents in the case, the couple was going through divorce proceedings earlier this year. At the time they were also going through ‘pretty bad’ marital problems although Bliefnick was not in support of the divorce.

Bliefnick, 39, for his role, is charged with two counts of first-degree murder and one count of home invasion in connection with Rebecca’s death. He has pleaded not guilty according to records. Sarah Reilly, Rebecca’s sister, had been among the first to testify in the case as it had begun. She told prosecutors that her sister had previously told her that she thought he was trying to harm her or may have been plotting to do so according to KHQA-TV.
Text messages reviewed by the site revealed that Rebecca had texted her sister in September 2021. The text according to those records read “If something ever happens to me, make sure the number one person of interest is Tim. I am putting this in writing that I’m fearful he will somehow harm me,”
She was later found dead in her bathroom by her father on 23 February of this year. Bliefnick was charged with her murder two weeks later.
