In a historic first in America, some big news has come down the pipeline. According to the White House, President Joe Biden has announced that all federal charges for simple possession of marijuana are to be vacated (aka pardoned.) The move comes after months of pressure from supporters of marijuana to weaken or outright push to have the government abandon its longstanding racist policies involving marijuana that often target Black and Brown communities.
The announcement came by way of a video message from the White House.
