Over the weekend news of the disappearance and later abduction of one Eliza Fletcher dominated headlines. Now cops in Memphis have confirmed that an arrest in the case has taken place, although, there still isn’t any sign of Fletcher.
According to cops Cleotha Abston has been charged in connection to the case and with kidnapping and abducting the beloved local teacher. On Sunday officials and police tweeted that man has been officially charged in the case. “At this point in the investigation, Cleotha Abston, 38, has been charged with Especially Aggravated Kidnapping and Tampering with Evidence,” police wrote. “Eliza Fletcher has not been located at this time.”
This case remains an active missing persons case.
