Manhattan will no longer prosecute prostitution cases, agrees to vacate thousands of warrants for said charges

Manhattan is joining the ranks of nearby boroughs that are aiming to decriminalize sex work and prostitution. According to Cyrus Vance ‘s office, sex-work related cases will no longer be prosecuted by his office because it is “time to move forward.” The news has been lauded by many as allot of the cases unfairly targeted minorities.

More than 5,500+ cases and warrants dating back to 1975 have been wiped from the books and or dropped all together.
