But for many of those workers allot of them haven’t seen those dollars yet. Amazon ‘s policies surrounding quarantine pay are equally confusing as they’re problematic. In the beginning of quarantine and the Coronavirus pandemic, Amazon employees quickly got sick; were widely refused benefits and assistance, and were eventually told to show up or don’t be paid.

Following weeks of public scrutiny; pressure, and otherwise bad publicity Amazon now appears to be changing its tune. Following several reports and complaints by Buzzfeed News, Amazon now says that previously circulated documents claiming folks won’t be paid are false and have since been updated.
