AUSTIN — Â If one had these accomplishments, normally, they’d be the center of attention and heavily congratulated. Except, when you’re Mayte Lara Ibarra such isn’t quite the case. Â Last night, Ibarra took to the web to show off a little bit of her accomplishments — only — to reveal that she is illegally in the United States.
“Valedictorian, 4.5GPA, full tuition paid for at UT, 13 cords/medals, nice legs,” Ibarra tweeted before the tweets picked up 30,000 retweets and eventually deleted her Twitter account. Â Â UT Austin claims that her status “is meaningless to the school” and did not play a part in their financial aid; scholarship, and admission decision.
