Blow after blow for the Trump administration. According to reports, on Saturday Brazil’s Vice President Geraldo Alckmin confirmed that the country will still tariff certain exports despite America’s reversal of tariffs.

The Lowdown

Amid high grocery prices and an insane cost of living in America — Donald Trump’s tariff machine appears to have backfired again. According to the Vice President of Brazil, the country will still tariff coffee, beef, and tropical fruit exports bound for the United States at 40%.

The Associated Press reports that Brazil welcomed Trump’s move but noted that there are distortions in the entire situation that need to be corrected.
