A shocking tale in Louisiana of what happens when facts and stories aren’t fully verified. According to reports, a news anchor in Louisiana who was the subject of false claims that he ‘preyed’ on young girls — but that’s not quite how the story went or goes.

The Lowdown

Bill Lunn a former news anchor in Louisiana is making headlines this week following shocking ordeal last year that saw him accused of trying to meet underage girls.   In the fiasco,   Lunn was actually targeted by what appear to have been ‘vigilantes’ looking to drump up trouble.  On one dating profile, he was allegedly misled to believe a woman he was trying to meet with was at least 19 — but ended up getting a whole lot more than a date.

The suit involves Shrevport ‘s KTBS news station and that of its competitors at KTAL the latter of which first published the shocking report back in June 2024.  During the reported attempted meetup, he instead of meeting the woman from the profile was later robbed by three men identified as Antonio Coleman,  Kataurio Grigsby, and Kameron Kennon according to lawsuit documents.

The Guardian has more on how that all unfolded and what’s expected to happen thanks to the suit.
