Labour is facing a critical moment as protests and movements against the proposed £5BN cuts loom. The government previously announced the cuts which include an array of cuts across many services.

Backlash is growing in the UK this week amid the government’s efforts to enact £5BN worth of benefit cuts. A huge number of MPs have already come out against the legislation to enact them, citing that they will not support the efforts to do so.
According to the legislation, expected to be introduced in June, a host of benefit cuts are coming and many of them don’t appear to be well thought out.
Per the legislation, they will include tightening the criteria for personal independence payments (for the disabled), to limiting outright the number of people who can claim it.
In a bizarre piece of the leigslation, it is noted that those who cannot wash the lower half of their body will no longer be able to claim such payments unless they have another co-limiting condition.
