A big potential change is coming to Olive Garden. According to the chain, delivery is coming soon for the first time ever.
The Lowdown
For the first time, Olive Garden is preparing to roll out a big change. According to reports, the company relented on delivery following less-than-expected earnings.
But there’s a catch.
Olive Garden’s upcoming pilot rollout of delivery services will be available only through the Olive Garden app. The delivery fee for the usual trappings offered by Olive Garden will set hungry eaters back $7.
But there’s another catch.
The delivery services will be provided by Uber drivers in a 2-year exclusive deal between the companies. However, consumers won’t be able to find any Olive Garden-related offerings through Uber Eats per the terms of the reported deal.
The chain per the announcement hopes to roll out delivery nationwide by May in the U.S. Participating restaurants will kickstart the pilot program.
