Student-led protests have led to more concessions as universities grapple with growing demands. According to reports, Northwestern University is the latest school to strike a deal with the aforementioned protesters.

The Lowdown

According to the AP, Northwestern University is the latest American University to strike a deal with protesting students that their schools divest from Israel. Northwestern’s move comes on the heels of increasing numbers of young Americans demanding Israel be held accountable for its invasion and war in Gaza. Northwestern will allow protests to continue through 1 June however only one tent will be allowed on campus according to the announcement of the deal.

Some have already derided the deal as ‘caving to the mob.’
