In New York’s strong effort to maintain access to reproductive healthcare for women the state has made a move. According to reports, a law previously passed to make birth control more accessible has taken effect.

According to reports, New York’s long awaited law allowing birth control to be obtained without a prescription has taken flight. The law is part of a much broader effort by the Democratic legislature to enshrine reproductive healthcare rights indefinitely.
The move initially came after Roe v Wade fell a while back across the United States. New York was one of the first states to announce efforts to undergo structural protections for access to such services in wake of the infamous ruling.
