A Georgia judge who is overseeing the election interference trial against Donald Trump has handed down his ruling against Fani Willis. Willis is accused of having a conflict of interest in the case over her previous relationship with prosecutor Nathan Wade. A case was brought against Willis after Trump ‘s lawyers claimed they tried to hide their past romantic relationship.

The Lowdown

According to reports, Superior Court judge Scott McAfee has ruled that Fani Willis will not be disqualified from the case against former President Donald Trump and several co-defendants. However, Willis is now required to decide whether she or Wade will step down per McAfee ‘s order that due to the appearance of impropriety, one of them has to go.
