Disgraced lawyer Sidney Powell is making headlines again. In a new court filing, lawyers for the fraudster and let’s be clear — couldn’t make this up even if we tried are trying to get a charge dropped.
Let’s dig in. According to the Washington Post, Powell’s lawyer is trying to get the charge of violating Georgia RICO law dropped. In the filing, lawyers hilariously revealed that Powell is struggling because her trusted traveller status has been revoked at TSA.
“Ms. Powell’s longstanding trusted traveler status has been revoked by TSA for ‘her criminal history’—in addition to other problems created by this wrongful indictment,” read the footnote, which was first reported by Washington Post correspondent Holly Bailey.
