Hate has struck again in America. According to reports, a beloved store owner in California Lauri Ann Carleton, 66, was murdered over the display in her store by an angry hateful male suspect. Police in the are did kill the suspect in an eventual standoff but have not identified him.
According to the Huffington Post, Carelton was a well-loved member of the community and an exceptional ally to the LGBTQ+ community. Known for her love of laughter and helping the community, her sudden murder has reminded people that anti-gay and anti-trans rhetoric has consequences and this is only the beginning.
