In what may seem like the worst time to raise prices, Disney has announced that Disney+ is getting a price hike amid slumping sales. This also comes against the backdrop of a massive Hollywood strike that has left both platforms without allot of new content.
Disney is feeling the burn. According to the troubled entertainment giant, Disney+ is getting price hike as the company continues to struggle with lagging revenue goals. This of course comes against the backdrop of Hollywood strikes; less than stellar comments by its leadership, and of course its war with Florida ‘s Ron DeSantis.
The announcement shows that the streaming service’s ad-free subscription will cost $13.99 beginning October 12, an increase of $3 per month. The ad supported version will still run $7.99
