Following reports and the later disclosure of the warrant used against Donald Trump FBI officials knew he was apparently lying. According to reports published Saturday, FBI officials raid Mar-a-Lago on a suspicion that Trump ‘s lawyers previously lied to the feds over there still being classified documents allegedly in the estate. Those documents along with numerous other items and such were taken back by the FBI after a raid on Monday. Federal authorities initially tried to find and retrieve the documents back in June.
Trump remains under investigation for alleged violations of the Espionage Act for unlawfully holding on to classified government materials inside of his home. Trump of course maintains that he did nothing wrong and is calling the entire situation a Democratic led witch hunt. Monday ‘s raid reportedly resulted in more than 20 boxes being removed from the estate by federal authorities.
Four people close to the matter revealed to the New York Times that Trump and his team likely weren’t forthcoming with authorities and is also under investigation for obstruction of justice.
