Newly released text messages from Donald Trump Jr have revealed that he also was among those texting Trump officials behind the scenes in a widespread failed effort to overturn the election. Jr is the latest far-right figure to be implicated in the illegal attempt at rigging the election but it is unclear if American officials will actually have the guts to prosecute.
CNN reported.
“This is what we need to do please read it and please get it to everyone that needs to see it because I’m not sure we’re doing it,” Trump Jr reportedly wrote, adding: “It’s very simple … We have multiple paths[.] We control them all.”
The texts appear to be part of the massive trove of information obtained by the select Jan 6th committee investigating the Trump Administration ‘s efforts to overthrow American democracy.
