But it took four years and a near coup later for even some of the worst faces behind Trump’s cabinet to come clean and leave. On Thursday, it was announced that Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos (best known for trying to dismantle the school system) would be leaving the administration effective immediately. Apparently, according to DeVos, the near sedition attempt had gone too far.
One of the least liked admin members is resigning.
Betsy ‘s resignation comes as some of Trump ‘s most hardline supporters and allies are now under fire themselves. Reporter friends and even fellow lawmakers have reportedly been found to have taken part in the sedition attempt in the Capitol.
According to the AP, the resignation is effective tomorrow morning. It remains unclear how many more will also resign. Transportation Secretary Elaine Chao was among the first to resign citing she couldn’t’ apparently believe what she had saw.
