A San Diego ER nurse got the COVID-19 vaccine, six days later tested positive for COVID-19

San Diego, CALIFORNIA — Troubling news in San Diego this week as it has emerged the story of a local ER nurse who despite getting the COVID-19 vaccine has gotten COVID-19. According to reports, the unidentified nurse tested positive 6 days after recently getting the vaccine at his local hospital.

According to ABC News, the 45-year-old nurse got the Pfizer vaccine just a week before Christmas Eve. The Pfizer version of the vaccine requires two different doses spaced out over the course of week(s). By Christmas Eve, the man was pretty ill and had discovered he instead got the very virus many assume the vaccine will help prevent.
