Here’s why the feds aren’t letting R. Kelly out amid the Coronavirus

That’s because it appears R. Kelly made a windfall of cash last year thanks to royalties. According to federal authorities, Kelly reportedly made upwards of $200k in royalties this year and therefore that is why he will remain a flight risk. Authorities successfully argued against R. Kelly’s latest bid for release, considering his substantial wealth and the belief that he will flee if let go.

According to Bossip.com, authorities have managed to uncover that in more ways than one Kelly is lying about his finances. Prosecutors are concerned that if freed he’d either financially intimidate witnesses or flat out flee to a non-extradition country.

It also emerged through his latest filing that Kelly is in great health. According to that filing, prosecutors determined that Kelly doesn’t have pre-existing conditions nor is he elderly.
