It is with the heaviest of hearts that news reports can confirm that the remains found in Alabama believed to be Aniah Blanchard are indeed her. According to Auburn police, forensic officials made the confirmation this evening marking the beginning of a terrifying homicide investigation.
Blanchard, 19, was believed to have been last seen being kidnapped from a store on video camera. It was not known that her remains were in the area until last week, when, authorities. say a tip led them to the grisly discovery.
