James Comey, former FBI director (and infamous memo maker) may actually be in deep shit with the law itself. According to the Wall Street Journal, Comey’s memos (particularly two of them) have caught the eyes of the FBI and its inspector general. Now, ehum, they’re under investigation for violations of federal law due to their classification within the DOJ as (“top secret”).
According to the Journal, the memos reportedly contain “blacked out information” that Comey allegedly blacked out himself after declaring that it was private. Although only one of them was blacked out, the other, caught the attention of the general who now says Comey is under federal investigation.
James Comey himself, ehum, has been on sort of a press blitz about his new book and the letters as a whole.
A similar situation occurred when Hillary Clinton was caught with her infamous e-mail server, although, no charges were brought against her at the time.
