Police in Toronto are continuing an investigation this weekend following the arrest of three men they claim were planning a terrorist attack against Jewish people. According to the TPS,  the three men Waleed Khan, Osman  Azizov, and Fahad Sadaat all attempted to allegedly target Jewish women.

Police however didn’t immediately have everything they needed to crack the case initially.    Authorities say that the arrests actually came after two reported attempted abductions which in turn later helped them cover a coinciding terrorism investigation into Khan himself.

Khan according to police has been charged with at least seven terrorism-related charges. Among them the charges include conspiracy to commit murder and  illegal efforts to funnel large sums of cryptocurrency to ISIS the militant group.

On Friday  Police Chief Myron Demkiw said during a press conference that Khan allegedly worked with an individual named  Allah Kareem.  That individual was allegedly the leader who doled out the reported instructions for the group to actually carry out the attacks that got them arrested.

Search and seizures by police also per Demkiw on Friday turned up  evidence of national security threats which police are taking seriously.

All together the trio faces a whopping 79 charges oveer their actions in the Greater Toronto area.  In the case of Khan he is accused of being the financial provider to ISIS of which he is said to have provided funds and property to the infamous terrorist cell.    ANRCMP release noted that Khan ‘s crimes  allegedly took place between 17 JKune and 18 August this year.
