UPDATED: Arrest made in connection to discovery of man’s dismembered remains in Brooklyn trash bin

This weekend’s shocking discovery in Flatbush which we reported on Friday has a new development. According to police, a man has been arrested for concealing human remains in connection to the case.

The Lowdown

Days after a man’s dismembered remains were found in a trash bin outside of a Flatbush apartment complex — new developments. According to police, a 38-year-old man identified as Christopher Moss of East New York is the arrested. The relationship between Moss and the yet to be identified victim is not clear.

Amid the developments, Bazaar New York has learned new information related to the case. According to what we’ve learned, the victim is believed to have lived in the building off of E21st with his partner though they had recently been known to fight according to multiple people.

UPDATE: 2:51 pm 10 October 2025

According to the case the victim has been identified as Daryl Montgomery. He was due to turn 34 next month and was dating Moss at the time of his death. If it couldn’t get any more tragic it does.

Montgomery is believed to have died from natural causes before his boyfriend disposed of his dismembered remains outside of the complex mentioned.
