Tragic news in Brooklyn today. According to reports, a man died in a holding cell at the Kings County Criminal Court on Friday night. The death marks the 11th such death this year in city custody.

The Lowdown

Gothamist is out with tragic news this weekend. According to the site, a 46-year-old man died on Friday night while being held in a holding cell at the KCCC.     The man was found unresponsive and unconsciousness shortly after 10:15pm Friday. He died at the scene.

The name of the man is expected to be released after the family has been formally notified.
