Ovidio Guzmán López and his brother, Joaquin Guzmán López have now joined their father in the U.S legal system. According to reports, López pleaded guilty this week to claims he co-ran a faction of the infamous Sinaloa Cartel.

According to reports, Ovidio Guzmán López the son of imprisoned notorious drug lord El Chapo is back in the news. The Guardian reports that he pled guilty on Friday to drug trafficking charges after a long campaign to bring the Sinaloa Cartel to justice. Prosecutors back in 2023 found that the pair had been attempting to smuggle obscene amounts of fentanyl into the United States.
The Guardian notes that as part of his plea agreement, he admitted that he was part of the operation to procure and make cocaine, heroin, methamphetamine, marijuana, and fentanyl into the United States. López in full has admitted to drug trafficking charges, firearms charges, and money laundering charges all reportedly tied to operations of the notorious gang.
