On The Run: Dad who is accused of killing his own 3 daughters remains on the run, here’s what to know

New developments in the case of Washington state father Travis Decker, who, is accused of kidnapping and murdering his own 3 daughters.  He remains on the run and is considered likely armed and dangerous.

The Lowdown

Federal officials have formally taken over the massive search for accused child killer Travis Decker. Decker is wanted by police in connection to the shocking discoveries of his deceased 3 young daughters Olivia, 5; Evelyn, 8;, and Paityn, 9 were first reported missing after the kids did not return home to their mother after a scheduled routine visitation.

Then on 1 June, following numerous searches,  law enforcement officials discovered what was found to be Decker’s empty vehicle in central Washington State. The bodies of his children were found nearby, though he was no where to be found when all of this went down.

According to a bulletin from the U.S Marshal Service a $20,000 reward is being offered for information leading to his arrest.  Decker, a former resident of Wenatchee, Washington is understood to be critically trained in tactical military skills.

People are asked to call 911 immediately if Decker is spotted it is unclear if he is presently armed but should be considered armed and dangerous.

What to know about Travis Decker.

According to publicly available information about Decker, he was an infantryman in the Army from March 2013 until about July 2021. He also served in Afghanistan from March to July 2014 lending credibility to the claims and concerns that he may know how to survive for quite a long time while on the run.

The children ‘s mother Whitney was not aware of any problems between Decker and the children and according to the affadavit above were mutually working on shared custody of their bunch.  The agreement permitted visitations between Decker and the kids every other weekend.   At some point in recent years, following his marriage and later divorce to Whitney, he may have been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder as everything dissolved but noted he likely never took his medication.
