Wisconsin judge removed from bench following arrest report says

New developments in the case of a Wisconsin judge accused of aiding an immigrant in avoiding arrest by ICE.  According to reports, Judge Hannah Dugan is facing federal charges over the matter.

The Lowdown

Wisconsin ‘s Supreme Court has moved to remove Hannah Dugan from the bench following allegations that she helped an immigrant escape federal arrest.   On Tuesday,  the court issued and administrative order formally but temporarily suspending her from the Milwaukee Circuit Court in regards to her official duties.

What happened?

Earlier this month,   Judge Hannah Dugan (per the case against her) allegedly helped a Mexican national evade federal arrest. The unidentified individual reportedly has 3 misdemeanor charges for  battery. The order will remain in play while the case plays out.

Dugan is expected back in federal court on 15 May where she is expected to face a single federal felony charge of ostructing a federal agency and a misdemeanor charge of concealing a person to help them avoid detection by a law enforcement body.
