New developments in the vicious slaying of Cal Fire Captain Rebecca ‘Becky’ Marodi. According to reports, Marodi ‘s wife Yolanda Marodi (aka Yolanda Olenjniczak) was taken into custody in the Ferrocarril neighborhood of Mexicali, Baja California.
The Lowdown
A little over a month ago (17 Feb), 49-year-old Rebecca Marodi was found dead in her home Ramona, San Diego home. Deputies at the time reportedly responded to a violent assault with a deadly weapon which later led to a massive manhunt for Yolanda that went dead for months-on-end.
What happened?
Around 8pm that evening, security footage at the home actually believed to have caught the ordeal on camera.  According to the case, Yolanda can be heard and seen in security footage chasing Rebecca through their yard at the time.  In the same segment, Rebecca can also be heard allegedly exclaiming ‘Yolanda I don’t want to die!.’
Shocking footage allegedly l ater showed Yolanda with the suspected murder weapon in her right hand with blood visible on both of her arms.
In a shocking twist, Yolanda allegedly has quite the criminal past. According to reocrds on Yolanda, Yolanda served 11 years in prison beginning in 2004 for stabbing her then-husband. Fast forward decades later, she is now accused of the same thing except this time killing her own wife.
