Not so fast on buying Girl Scout Cookies this season as shocking lawsuit claims treats are toxic

According to reports, the Girl Scouts are facing accusations that their cookies tested positive for lead and glyphosate.

The Lowdown

A proposed class action lawsuit against The Girl Scouts is making headlines.  According to the suit,  it is alleged that Girl Scout Cookies (it’s that season) who is being sued by a New York Woman citing a late 2024 study. In that study, a series of the cookies were found to contain toxic materials to humans.

The suit was filed by a woman named Amy Mayo in Brooklyn who claims that some of the most famous Girl Scout  Cookies quietly tested positive for toxic materials. 

Some reports have suggested that the cookies tested contained at least four of the five heavy metals including but not limited too: lead, mercury, aluminum,  cadmium, and arsenic. Interestingly, the same batches of cookies were also found to have very high levels of glyphosate — with Thin Mints being the biggest offender.
