In the deaths of movie icon Gene Hackman and his wife Betsy Arakawa more questions. According to police, their cause of death still remains unknown.

According to the AP, police investigating the sudden deaths of Gene Hackman and husband wife Betsy Arakawa have made new discoveries.

The AP notes that cops have ruled out carbon monoxide poisoning in the death of the couple. Police have also since discovered that the couple appeared to have been dead for at least 9 days before they were actually found. That discovery came thanks to Hackman’s pacemaker which per police recorded its last event at that time.

Detectives in the latest update in the case are ‘confident’ foul play was not involved but all possibilities are being thoroughly investigated.
