Reports out today following high-stakes meetings over Adams’s future in Manhattan, they say that Hochul will not exercise her sole authority to remove Adams from office.
Instead a new position for an inspector general will be put into play to ‘watch’ conduct at City Hall. The state deputy position will be discussed next week in Albany when lawmakers return.
Adams fell from grace after it was revealed he had sold out New York City to save himself from federal prison — if Hochul won’t remove him he must now face the voters.
