Doomsday: Threat level of possible ‘city destroying’ asteroid upped in highest recorded chances to date

According to NASA, the space agency has been particularly paying attention to a ‘Space rock’ known as YR4 2024.

Astronomers and researchers are busy this week studying new findings about YR4 2024 a possible ‘city killing’ asteroid that at least right now is expected to hit Earth in the future though that is subject to change. According to New Scientist — the threat level from the asteroid is expected to go up and down over time as has been done with numerous other asteroids that were thought to pose a threat to planet Earth. New Scientist places the rock at a 1 in 38 or a 2.6% chance of actually striking Earth with several major metropolitan areas likely in its path.
