Jay-Z has lost latest effort to have case involving woman ‘s rape claim from 2000 thrown out

Jay-Z (aka Shawn Carter) has lost his effort to have a rape claim from 2000 thrown out. As previously reported by Bazaar Daily, Carter is accused of raping a then 13-year-old girl in 2000 following the MTV Video Music Awards.

The Lowdown

According to the case, Jay-Z’s efforts to throw the case out have been rejected. In a Thursday ruling, Judge Analisa Torres ruled that Carter ‘s lawyers ‘wasted resources’ with their numerous attempts to have the case thrown out. On his part, Carter denies the allegations outright. b

“Carter’s lawyer’s relentless filing of combative motions containing inflammatory language and ad hominem attacks is inappropriate, a waste of judicial resources, and a tactic unlikely to benefit his client,” the latest update in the case reads per an order. “The Court will not fast-track the judicial process merely because counsel demands it.”
