As it turns out alleged sex trafficking isn’t the only thing Andrew Tate and his brother Tristan have been up to. According to a ruling this week in the UK, tax authorities have been told they can seize $3.4m from the brothers’ accounts over unpaid taxes.
The Lowdown
Reuters reports bad news for the Tate brothers one of which once infamously boasted about not paying taxes because ‘they’ll go away.’ A judge ruled this week that the pair ‘blatantly’ avoided their tax/VAT obligations by storing some $12m in the account of a woman who had no idea her name was on said account. Reuters notes that a court has found that the pair avoided their responsibilities on some $27m worth of income between 2014 and 2022.
